UltraILS

Create and manage ASD S1000D Data Modules for Technical Publications from multiple ILS data sources, including Excel, ASD S2000M, ASD S3000L, MIL-STD-1388-2B and more.

UltraILS is a comprehensive ILS data set management system add-on for UltraCSDB that provides additional support for ILS import, workflow and management. UltraILS enables creation and change management of ASD S1000D Data Modules from various external ILS data sources.


Supports Multiple ILS Standards

UltraILS can import, generate and update S1000D Data Modules from any of the following external data sources:


  • Microsoft Excel / CSV parts data (generation for both ASD S1000D and ATA iSpec 2200).

  • ASD S2000M provisioning data.

  • ASD S3000L Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) data.

  • MIL-STD-1388-2B Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) data.

  • GEIA-STD-0007B Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) data.

The flexible licensing model allows cost effective use of only the ILS standards that you require. All ILS standards use the same UltraILS data set workflow, Data Module creation and update management functionality.

Microsoft Excel / CSV Support


  • Import, update and edit parts data using Excel spreadsheets to significantly reduce Illustrated Parts Data (IPD) Data Modules authoring cost and errors.

  • Supports the creation and saving of custom column mappings for either ASD S1000D or ATA iSpec 2200 elements and attributes. Values from Excel columns can be combined from multiple fields using custom expressions.

  • View, approve or edit imported Excel data sets with full CSDB review workflow and milestones.

  • Automatically generate compliant S1000D Illustrated Parts Data (IPD) Data Modules or ATA iSpec 2200 AIPC/EIPC Modules.

  • Automatically identifies affected Data Modules when applying approved Excel data sets.

  • Handles full or partial Excel data set updates.

  • Automatically updates and raises the issue of all affected Data Modules.

  • Supports options to keep specified manually authored Data Module content when automatically updating Data Modules from the Excel data sets.

  • Export to either SGML or XML formats.

S2000M Support


  • Batch import ASD S2000M message files as a managed UltraCSDB ILS data set.

  • View and approve S2000M structured tables and message content with full CSDB review workflow.

  • Automatically generate complaint ASD S1000D Illustrated Parts Data (IPD) Data Modules.

  • Supports generation of both chapterised and non-chapterised content.

  • Support for automatic illustration ICN mapping via either S2000M content or custom mappings of illustration ICNs to S1000D Catalogue Sequence Numbers (CSNs) or Data Module Codes (DMCs).

  • Support for Common Parts Data. Connects separately imported S2000M data sets by declaring IPPNs that share common parts information.

  • Automatically identifies affected Data Modules when applying imported and approved S2000M data sets.

  • Automatically updates and raises the issue of all affected Data Modules.

  • Supports options to keep specified manually authored Data Module content when automatically updating Data Modules from the S2000M data sets.

LSA Support

  • Support for mapping LCNs to the S1000D Standard Numbering System and LSA Task Codes to S1000D Information Codes.

  • Optionally create S1000D Parts Common Information Repository (CIR) Data Modules from parts information.
