UltraXML:Author is a native XML editor for authoring and editing new or existing XML files. It can be used to perform a variety of tasks including generating empty XML files from existing schemas or vice versa. In addition to the use of any XML Schema, UltraXML:Author has built-in support for ISO standard Schematron to validate XML to user defined business rules.

UltraXML:Author is a full-featured XML editor that supports the authoring of well-formed and valid XML documents and highly optimised for authoring ASD S1000D Data Modules.

• Automatically connects with UltraXML v4.0 or above allowing editing of the current stream.
• Search with regular expressions across multiple tags in UltraXML with search results displayed in a list with hyperlinks to the stream locations.
• User interface automatically updates when UltraXML 4 is running allowing editing of styles, back and forward to last edited streams and buttons to insert XSLT constructs and UltraXML formatting instructions into the style.

• Automatic and interactive validation and well-formed checking. Errors are highlighted in the code whilst authoring and error messages are displayed in the message area.

• Code completion –As soon as you type the open bracket, UltraXML:Author will automatically list all allowed elements in accordance to the schema. Typing a space will then list all attributes not yet used in the current element.
