User Friendly
The ATA Stylesheet configuration Wizard lets users quickly define formatting
specifics such as document fonts and relative indent spacing between <prclist>
levels to enable easy customer specific setup.
UltraXML ATA also enables project specific formatting requirements by
allowing easy graphical modification and configuration of your ATA
stylesheets. Take ‘snapshots’ of your customer driven
alternative stylesheets for later instant recall using drag and drop.
Interactive
Real-time WYSIWYG formatting of ATA enables you to edit
and author your ATA documents with the formatting applied as
you edit. With constant validation, popup hyperlink
error messages and warnings take the author / editor directly to any invalid
data or incorrect reuse of reference values.
When authoring content XML attributes are
automatically inserted along with any configured default attribute values
(such as chapnbr, sectnbr and subjnbr), thereby cutting
down the required authoring time. The next XML / SGML elements are suggested
by the system when authoring CMM data and are inserted as required.
DTD Entity references can easily be inserted into the document by
dragging and dropping the entity name from the tags list into the page.
High Quality PDF Output
UltraXML provides exceptionally high quality printed output for your ATA documents through
Postscript or PDF output. UltraXML is a World leader in
typographical quality, utilizing a formatting engine built and matured over
12 years. UltraXML has comprehensive support for keep with next/previous and
widow/orphan controls, thereby making sure that your CMM documents are
always easy to read. UltraXML uses its own Postscript engine to create very
efficient and small sized Postscript and PDF files.
ATA CGM
UltraXML:ATA supports ATA level CGM vector graphics.
Intelligent CGM or hot spotted graphics are supported
so that embedded links in the CGM images seamlessly flow through to the
final production PDF output.
Automatic CMM Tables
UltraXML:ATA Edition automatically inserts tables such as the Record of
Revisions, Record of Temporary Revisions and Service Bulletin List. Each
table will extend to the bottom of the page as required, no matter how many
row entries there may be. Derived
information such as the List of Effective Pages, Table
of Contents, List of Tables and List of Figures
are automatically created when formatting.
Hyperlinks and Bookmarks

Bookmarks are created by the system for “key” attributes and automatic
hyperlinks created from <refint> elements to bookmarks.
Hyperlinks work on screen as well as in the PDF output.
Utilizing a secondary built in stylesheet all “key” attribute values
used for bookmark references can be listed or printed enabling users to
instantly check that their “key” attribute values comply with ATA rules.
MTOSS (Maintenance Task Oriented Support System) Codes
MTOSS codes can be switched on or off instantly by
activating a different built-in UltraXML CMM stylesheet.
Relative Numbering
Relative Page numbering (e.g. from “pgblknbr” numbers) as well as figure numbering
relative to “pgblknbr” attribute is fully automatic. The relative
numbering scheme is used throughout the CMM document including the footer
page number, list of effective pages and table of contents.
Page Revision Dates
Page dates for the footnote, intelligently uses
the most recent “revdate” attribute that lands on that current page
during formatting. The list of effective pages will also automatically pick
up these most recent dates used.
Revision bars
Revision bars highlight all revisions in the left margin marked between <revst/>
and <revend/> elements. Users can easily configure the appearance and
behaviour of the revision bars.
Tables
Tables can repeat over any number of pages and headers are repeated
according to the ATA specification. IPL and Vendor table header text
not found in the ATA source data can easily be configured.
Intentionally Blank Pages
Blank Pages are automatically inserted so that significant sections such as <pgblk>
always start on right hand pages. The document may be viewed in single page,
facing pages (showing left & right pages) or multiple pages view, with
editing always remaining interactive in either the Code Editor or the Page
View.
